Welcome to Church of the Holy Light!!
Pastor Tom with Family
A BIT OF HISTORY....Belfast, Maine
Pastor Ventura is an ordained minister out of Bangor,
Maine. He was ordained by one of Maine's largest churches in the state
where he served for seven years (ALC Church). In 2001with his wife Brenda, they
planted a church in the tiny town of Jackson, Maine. The church grew and they
moved into Belfast in 2002. They rented out a room in the Belfast Free
Library for about a year before moving to their present location at
96 Main St. (2nd floor) where they have been for the last 6 years in
Belfast, Maine. They have since expanded and added a Children's Church wing
in the same building to help with the CHILDREN'S PROGRAM (see Children's
Church Ministy Link above).
WHAT KIND OF CHURCH IS IT?..........
The Church of the Holy Light is a non-denominational church which welcomes
people of all backgrounds, whether churched or not. CHL (as it is commonly called)
is particularly focused on those with no or little church background.
WHAT IS THE "ATMOSPHERE" LIKE?..........
The church is quite "laid-back" as there are "cafe style" tables set up in the
church and free coffee and tea available before, DURING, and after the
service. However the teachings are always from the BIBLE, and the church
tries to take their Christian walk with sincerity of heart.
WHEN AND WHERE ARE THE SERVICES?........
The services are at 10am on Sunday mornings. Once again
the location is at 96 Main St., near the light in downtown Belfast.
